ECO Funding

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty.

The scheme began in April 2013, and over time it has been amended. The latest policy, ECO4, commenced on 1st April 2022, and applies to measures completed from 1st June 2022 and will run until 2026.

Carbon Matters have access to ECO funding, meaning we can install a range of energy efficiency measures in your home to help reduce your fuel costs and lower your carbon emissions. We are able to install full central heating systems to loft insulation.

Don't just take our word for it....

Most people tell us this must be too good to be true…

We understand why you think that!

To help put your mind at ease, we invite you to do an independent google search for ECO4 delivery guidance v1.1 which is a PDF document published on OFGEM’s website, aimed at stakeholders within the industry. It’s a large document which is very technically worded but if you want to check it out and look at the following pages:

Page 57-58: Discusses the Local Authority’s role in administering the scheme and lays out the 4 “FLEX” routes

Page 95: Measures table

Page 106: Lays out the minimum requirements for loft and cavity wall insulation

Page 124: Definition of an inefficient heating system – which includes non-condensing boilers fitted before 2005.
